2025 Initiatives

In 2025, our goal is to broaden our impact by fostering creativity and connection with current audiences and especially reaching out to new ones. Through innovative Playback Theatre performances and workshops, we’ll continue using storytelling to inspire change, amplify diverse voices, and build stronger, more empathetic, and resilient communities.

Ukrainian Immigrants

We’re excited to announce our newest collaboration with Razom, an organization dedicated to providing humanitarian aid and support to Ukrainians while advancing advocacy and cultural diplomacy in the U.S. This partnership merges our creative mission with Razom’s vital work, using theatre to amplify voices, foster understanding, and build bridges across cultures and communities.

All Female VPT Troupe

Inspired by the work of UNFPA and its emphasis on the significance of the 10-year-old girl, we are in the process of creating and launching an all-female troupe. This initiative celebrates the power and potential of women and girls, using Playback Theatre to amplify their stories, advocate for gender equity, and shine a spotlight on the transformative impact of investing in young lives.

Expanding Bilingual Services

We are committed to expanding our bilingual performances and workshops to Spanish-speaking communities through new partnerships with dedicated organizations. This initiative aims to honor diverse voices and experiences while highlighting shared humanity. By inviting audiences to share personal stories in their native tongue and watch them played back in that same language, audiences feel validated and dignified, fostering empowerment and deeper community connections.

Spring Public Performance

This spring, we invite the public to join us for powerful performances that reaffirm our belief in the transformative power of storytelling. Amid global challenges, we uphold that change begins one story at a time, fostering empathy, connection, and hope for a more compassionate world. Mark your calendars for May 3 and May 4, 2025. We look forward to seeing in the theater.
